Can the Heat make the Bosh-Whiteside combination work?

Chris Bosh never got to play with Hassan Whiteside without Dwyane Wade. Wade played slow ball and iso ball. Goran Dragic, Dion Waiters, Justise Winslow, Chris Bosh and Hassan is nice. -- C.J.

Dwyane Wade to visit Heat Nov. 10

The player who became synonymous with the Miami Heat franchise will play in the AmericanAirlines Arena as a visitor for the first time Nov. 10. It will also be his only time playing in Miami next season.
Yes, Dwyane Wade will put on his Chicago Bulls uniform in Miami early in the season and won't return again, according to a preliminary NBA schedule for the 2016-17 season. The provisional schedule also does not list the Heat as playing on the NBA's marquee set of Christmas Day games. Miami has played on Christmas since the 2009-10 season, bridging the Big Three era.

Look At Me Now

Josh Richardson thought his basketball career might be over after college. After an impressive rookie season, it's clear that he belongs in the NBA.
It’s a June afternoon in Miami, about a month since the completion of his rookie season, and Josh Richardson is already in the gym working on ballhandling and shooting off the dribble. The 6-6 guard was one of the League’s more pleasant surprises last year. After all, it’s not often you see a second-round pick emerge as a key rotation piece on a Playoff team.

Why Russell Westbrook to the Heat isn’t as crazy as it sounds

Russell Westbrook was left “angry and hurt,” according to ESPN, when friend and teammate Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors without so much as a phone call to inform him of his decision.
Though the Thunder did add 24-year-old guard Victor Oladipo this summer, it came at the expense of another of Westbrook’s long-time teammates, Serge Ibaka.

Amar'e Stoudemire finalizes two-year deal to play in Israel

Hapoel Jerusalem formally announced Monday that center Amar'e Stoudemire has agreed to a two-year contract with the Israeli League team.
Stoudemire, who retired from the NBA after spending this past season with the Miami Heat, is a part-owner of Hapoel Jerusalem.
In a first-person piece for The Players' Tribune website, Stoudemire, 33, wrote of stepping away from the NBA after 14 seasons.

Brotherhood of basketball: the Udonis Haslem-Miami Heat legacy

Wassan Whiteside, Josh Richardson, Justise Winslow and Tyler Johnson never played a full season together, much less won a championship. Expectations for the neophytes to vanquish battle-tested NBA teams are a pipe dream without the strong leadership of Udonis Haslem and, if available, Chris Bosh to guide them.

Former Heat center Amar'e Stoudemire reportedly headed to Israeli League

Amar'e Stoudemire's retirement apparently will be short-lived, although not his retirement from the NBA.
After spending last season with the Miami Heat before formally announcing his NBA retirement last week by signing a ceremonial contract with the New York Knicks, Stoudemire, 33, is poised to play for the Israeli League team in which he holds an ownership stake, Hapoel Jerusalem.
